Founder & Managing Member
James is the Founder and Managing Member of the firm, with extensive experience in investment management, fund structuring, and impact finance. He has worked at the intersection of capital and mission—developing investment strategies that align meaningful outcomes with financial discipline.
James’s experience is both broad and diverse. He has managed capital at one of the country’s largest philanthropic institutions—the Silicon Valley Community Foundation—and has also served on the ground as an AmeriCorps volunteer, where he launched a small business incubator and microloan fund to support local entrepreneurs. This dual perspective—spanning large-scale institutional investment and grassroots economic development—shapes his approach to building effective, scalable investment solutions.
He partners with clients ranging from foundations to family offices and other asset holders, helping them design and manage investment vehicles that are both impact-aligned and institutionally credible. James has spoken on impact investment strategy and fund design at leading global convenings including SOCAP, the Sorenson Impact Summit, and other industry forums.
